Organ Study Bursary

The Vancouver Centre of the RCCO has instated an Organ Study Bursary of Three Hundred Dollars ($ 300)
to be granted annually. In order to award the Bursary, an application has to be made in accordance with
the following rules:
1. Eligibility
- Only members of the (Vancouver Centre of the) RCCO shall apply
- The applicant’s income shall be 30,000 dollars or less
- The applicant must be pursuing studies in organ or choir directing in a recognized institution, or working with a
private teacher towards obtaining an RCCO diploma, or have obtained a music degree or RCCO diploma less than
one year before applying for this bursary. - Individuals applying for the first time will receive preference over applicants who received the bursary in previous
years.
2. Purpose
- The bursary must cover expenses towards courses, master classes, and other study programs which require
extraordinary expenses, such as travel, books, etc. - The Bursary is specifically for organ and vocal/choir directing courses, master classes, and other study programs,
etc.
3. Amount
- The maximum amount of the bursary shall be 300 dollars (Canadian). This amount could be split amongst the
applicants, or a part of this amount could be awarded, to be determined by the evaluation committee. - Documentation and proof of the cost for the courses, master classes, or other study program shall be attached to
the application form
4. Time line
- Application deadline: December 31
- Application evaluation: In January/February by the RCCO Vancouver Centre Executive
- Bursary paid out: Before March 31
5. These rules may be changed by the RCCO Vancouver Centre Executive
